LIA provides a safe, warm, and compassionate space for women and folks who have experienced gender-based violence and intersectional violence in their lifetime, where dignity is held, healing can happen, and stories transform.
As survivors we know, and the research supports, we need responses that steadfastly hold our dignity and center our voices, our stories, and our needs.
LIA Love In ActionAlongside each history of violence and oppression, there runs a parallel history of prudent, creative, and determined resistance.Allan Wade, Response Based Practice
What We Offer
Welcome and I’m glad you’re here. My practice supports women and folks who’ve been impacted by gender-based violence and intersectional violence at any point in their lives. Whether you’re seeking support for the violence you’ve experienced or navigating other challenges with a supporter who holds the context of your experiences of violence with care, this space is for you.

Here, your responses to violence are understood as resistance, adaptiveness, protection, and impact. Together, we support you in reclaiming your story and moving forward at your own pace.
Survivors and co-survivors come to LIA at different points in their journeys. Whether you’re seeking support with current or past experiences of violence, or working through a present challenge, I’m here to walk with you. My approach honours your past experiences and integrates that awareness into our work together. If you’ve been impacted by gender-based or intersectional violence, you are welcome here.
